With New Year’s Eve just a few days away, today I’m sharing a holiday beauty look. I always go for a more dramatic look for New Year’s Eve. A contoured face, false lashes and a bold red lip are usually my go-to’s. Below I’ve listed my favorite products that I use daily (minus the red lipstick and false lashes). I just go a little heavier with everything for a night out. Starting with a bare face, I first apply moisturizer and a primer (my favorite is by Smashbox). Then I apply a very small amount of concealer under my eyes and on any red areas around my face. I’m obsessed with this Kevyn Aucoin concealer. It’s super pigmented and will last you for a very long time! I’ve been using this Lancome foundation for years. It’s really easy to blend and doesn’t make my combination skin too shiny. I use this brush and make tiny circles all over my face to blend it in smoothly. Next I apply a setting powder under my eyes to provide a barrier against any eyeshadow that falls. This one by Laura Mercier is my favorite. Now onto eyes…this palette by Too Faced is by far my favorite. Of course, I’ll always love the Naked Series by Urban Decay, but the colors in this palette are more neutral and less shimmery – better for everyday looks. The palette smells like a chocolate bar too!I always apply two mascaras. I start with this one by L’Oreal – applying two coats to each eye and then going back over my lashes with this one by Too Faced – which I have to say is my favorite mascara ever! After I’m done with my eyes, I contour. This contour kit by Anastasia is by far my favorite. I bought the kit in the ‘Light To Medium’ shade and I like to mix the top half together and apply under my eyes and mix the bottom (darker colors) together to highlight my cheeks and jawline. For evening, I really like a little highlighter for added shimmer. This Becca highlighter is a new favorite. I apply it with a fan brush lightly above my cheekbones, down the center of my nose and right above my lip (in my cupid’s bow).
