Now that it’s fall, it’s time to start transitioning your summer wardrobe and invest in classics that will carry you through the season. While I love trendy pieces, I always make sure to add at least one really versatile item to my fall wardrobe. Since fall is THE season for layering adding in great jackets, sweaters and coats to your wardrobe tends to be the best investment (besides those coveted over-the-knee boots – of course!). Layers are always great for building a versatile wardrobe. One of the most versatile items in my wardrobe this season has to be this sleeveless trench – which I’ve worn so many different ways (last seen here). I recently had this sleeveless trench altered for a more tailored fit and I had the back slit sewn up so I could wear it as a dress too. Burgundy is one of the top colors every fall so you really can’t go wrong when buying an item in the rich shade. Everyone should own at least one burgundy item, in my opinion. Especially since it looks great against nearly every skin tone and hair color!
