I’ve always loved a great tan, but then again who doesn’t? Believe it or not, my natural skin color is actually pretty fair – for an olive-toned complexion anyway. In my teen years I spent way too much time in tanning beds especially since I worked at a tanning salon for a few years (sigh). In my early-20’s I started to gain some sense and stopped my indoor tanning streak. I started trying out every tan in a bottle out there, and I’ve settled on a few favorites over the years.

Before our wedding a few years ago, I tried out spray tanning for the first time and became addicted. I had an awesome girl that I would go to when we lived in LA, but then I found VersaSpas which completely changed the tanning game for me. VersaSpas have a clear solution which means the tan doesn’t come off on your clothes or bed sheets – which is the biggest deterrence for most people when it comes to spray tanning. I actually signed up for an unlimited package of VersaSpa tans at my local salon and I go every three days. It’s so nice to get a quick tan (it takes about three minutes) and not have to worry about it for a few days. I have tried Mystic and Norvell spray tans, but I prefer VersaSpas over those.

If my face starts to fade early – and it usually does from wearing and washing off makeup every day – I will apply my favorite tan in a bottle by St. Tropez. I haven’t yet tried this one, but I love that it goes on clear. I also just discovered this CC cream by By Terry (I got it in the color ‘Sunny Flash’) which I’ve been applying every day before my foundation and it gives my skin such a great glow! It makes my skin look dewey and refreshed. I use it on days when I don’t wear foundation to help bring a little color and life to my skin.

I am dying to try this at-home spray kit by St. Tropez next which could change my whole tanning routine…stay tuned!

xo, Maria
