Fall is definitely the season for layering. I’ve been stocking up on cozy, oversized layers lately. They’re perfect for everyday wear. To avoid anything feeling too bulky, I typically opt for cutout details or open layers that show off a hint of skin. Cutout details are huge for fall which means intimates are playing a huge part in my wardrobe this season. They’re the key piece you might not always think about, but having a great assortment of bras, bralettes and bodysuits will allow for much more versatility in your wardrobe. I’ve definitely had moments where I’ve had to reconsider a backless top or off-the-shoulder sweater because I couldn’t figure out the right intimates to wear underneath. This season, I was determined to rebuild my intimates wardrobe with comfortable, chic options for every outfit. Here are three of my most-worn intimates so far this season.

Sporty Bralette

An athleisure-inspired bralette is a new addition to my wardrobe this season. I typically go for more feminine styles, but the sporty vibe of a cotton bralette adds the perfect touch to a sexy backless sweater. I’m all about balancing masculine and feminine vibes to my outfits. I love how comfortable a cotton bralette is too! I found this criss-cross Calvin Klein bralette from Bloomingdale’s. They have such a good selection of Calvin Klein. I paired it with this open-back sweater and my Converse sneakers for a low-key casual look.

Lace Bralette

Off-the-shoulder tops are one of my go-to styles for fall. I used to only wear strapless bras underneath this silhouette, but lately I’ve been loving the look of a lace bralette strap popping out. It’s a playful touch that feels more effortless. I’ve been getting so much wear out of this lace bralette. The double-straps makes it look more like a cami than a bra.

Shapewear

I tend to wear bodysuits in the fall more than any other season. I love how form-fitting they are – which is great for wearing underneath bulkier fall layers. It’s all about proportions! This super sculpted bodysuit is so comfortable.
