It’s hard to believe Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I feel like it was just Christmas. Valentine’s Day is a holiday I always look forward to because it’s a day to celebrate the one you love. Phil always does something over the top for Valentine’s Day – the last few he’s given me 100 roses and a bouquet of balloons. He did it one year and I kept saying how amazing it was so he’s just kept the tradition going and I look forward to it every year. He also gets me a couple of smaller items, but he has the hardest time. I always say I don’t want anything big, but then he thinks that doesn’t leave much for him to pick from. haha. One gift I always tell him he can’t go wrong with is perfume. It’s the best way to give a luxury gift without a huge price tag. I love getting and receiving perfume/cologne for Valentine’s Day. It’s a practical yet luxurious gift. I’m always up for trying out new scents, but the one I always go back to is Chanel’s CoCo Mademoiselle – it’s my favorite. Phil’s favorite has been YSL’s ‘La Nuit de l’Homme’ (I used to always steal it from him – it’s so good), but I just bought him Chanel’s Bleu to mix it up and he’s been loving it. Whatever Phil gets for me, I always tell him to get it from Nordstrom not only because they have the best selection, but because they have such easy shipping and free returns. That way if it’s something that I end up not loving, I can easily return it. I do the same for him! When we used to live in LA we lived right across the street from a Nordstrom and we’d just head there together on Valentine’s Day to pick out gifts. It was actually super fun and we always got gifts we loved.

I found this amazing jumpsuit for under $100 on Nordstrom’s site the other week and I couldn’t pass it up! Like most jumpsuits and dresses, I did have to get it altered to my size/height, but it was SO worth it. It honestly looks way more expensive than it is. Whenever I get something tailored, I’m always like why don’t I do this for everything?! Nordstrom has their own tailoring department too so they make it easier than ever!
