Today I’m sharing an office-appropriate look. I usually work from home which means I’m in something casual, but when I head into the office or to a business meeting, I opt for a more conservative look. A black pencil skirt is a must-have for me since it can really go with any top. I used to buy skirts meant to go with suit jackets, but they were always too boxy and loose and no matter how much you tailor them, they always tend to fit funny and majorly wrinkle when you sit. I now opt for softer fabrics and slimmer cuts. This one’s from H&M and is super affordable and comfortable. I paired this look with ankle-wrap pumps to keep it conservative. If I’m wearing a slim silhouette (like this skirt), I try to avoid super high heels (even thought I love them!) for the office. I love ankle-wrap heels lately. Usually I would never wear a heel this small, but the ankle strap and pointy toe make these a little more youthful and interesting.
