The area where we purchased our house in Minnesota is surrounded by farms. In fact, the land that our house is built on was a farm for most of my life. I still remember when they began to build homes on it back when I was in high school. Thankfully, they kept true to the original aesthetic by building only modern farmhouses and all of the landscaping resembles farmland. There are a ton of open fields filled with wild flowers and every time we go by them, I just want to run through them. Seriously try it, you’ll feel like a kid again! As much as I love city life, there’s nothing better than wide open fields.
