LA Home Office Tour

I’m so excited to finally share a glimpse into my home office. I work from home so this is where I spend the majority of my days! We put the finishing touches on it in preparation for my family coming into town for Thanksgiving. Since this room doubles as a guest room, we incorporated a similar color palette throughout the room with lots of white, black and gold and we added whimsical touches throughout. We actually have a faux moose head above the bed (I’ll have to share that later). This room is the only one in our place with modern features so we went all out. The rest of our place is much more industrial and vintage inspired.
My office wouldn’t be complete without a Chanel print (of course). This one’s from one of my favorite Etsy shops, Type & Style. Check out the link above and use code “MiaMiaMine” for a discount–just in time for the holidays. The other print is from Lulu and Georgia and is placed in an IKEA frame. I added black electrical tape to the matting to imitate the stripe effect from the Chanel print. It was super easy to do (I just eyeballed it) and I love the way it came out. To help tie the gallery wall together, we also spray painted the matting on the Audrey Hepburn print–which was not quite as easy or foolproof as the tape, but it was a fun project for me to watch (not so fun for my husband to actually do). Tip for the day: turns out watching paint dry is as boring as it sounds and if you’re anxious like we are and don’t let it dry, you end up with a sticky mess.
xo, Maria
