Where To Find Chic Outfits For Every Holiday Occasion

The countdown till the holiday parties are on, and it’s one of the most exciting times of the year for me. There’s nothing I enjoy more than catching up with old friends and families to celebrate the holidays. The season is never complete without a few gatherings, which I know can be so tricky to dress for. From casual get-together with friends to formal cocktail parties, picking the right outfit for all the different dress codes can be stressful – especially when you’re also gift shopping and hosting. I now start all outfit planning well in advance because I never want to be in a situation where I’m stuck on what to wear. Since holiday outfits also tend to sell out fast, it’s just better to start your shopping early. Today I’m letting you guys in on my secret to quickly find and curate the best holiday looks.
One of my favorite resources for outfit planning is ShopStyle. The search function tool has always been so helpful in finding various styles whether it’s a sequin dress or a chunky turtleneck sweater. I love being able to curate different wish lists for my most-wanted styles too. This allows me to refer back to them once I’m ready to make a purchase.
ShopStyle offers a comprehensive database of the inventories of my favorite retailers – which allows me to easily find and track the best pieces. You can search millions of products, make wishlists for holiday and get sale alerts on all of your favorite products. You can even shop by look, trend, or occasion. Since I’m always searching for chic outfit ideas for the holidays – and the best deals online, I wanted to share them with you today. Below, you’ll find my favorite looks for every holiday occasion all sourced from the ShopStyle platform.
Holiday Luncheon at Work
One of things I miss most about working in a corporate environment is the holiday luncheons and potlucks with my team. One of my favorite ways to bring the holiday spirit into the office was to add pops of red whether it was a silk red blouse, red pumps, or a velvet blazer. If you’re in a fashion office, sequin pumps, plaid blouses, and jumpsuits look festive but professional too.
Family Holiday Dinner
Family dinners over the holidays can be different for everyone. I like to have a few options on hand which range from casual to dressier looks. I always love a red sweater with distressed jeans or a cozy sweater dress. This always helps ensure I look put-together but not overly dressy.
Secret Santa Gift Exchange
Secret Santa exchange parties are one of my favorite ways to have fun with friends and family, so I prefer to take a casual approach to style. This usually means a cozy knit sweater, jeans, and a coat. The outfit I’m wearing today is what you’ll commonly see me wear for maximum comfort.
Holiday Cocktail Party
Holiday cocktail parties are one of the most memorable parts of the season. And I find that there is nothing more fitting than a sequin number. They’re such a statement piece that look sexy and classy. Other alternatives I love are velvet, lace, and dark floral dresses.
Après Ski Party
The holidays bring forth several fun themes, and one of my favorites is an après ski party. It’s a great excuse to pull out your favorite furry jackets and fairisle sweaters. What’s great about these items is that they work on an everyday basis – and also look great for a night of hot cocoa (or cocktails) and watching your favorite holiday movies.
