5 Easy Steps to Master My Everyday Eye Makeup

mia mia mine wearing beauty pie eye shadow quadOne of my favorite ways to enter a new season is with a fresh, new makeup look. Since revamping your makeup collection can be pricey and unnecessary, I’ve been using my Beauty Pie membership to snag new luxury products and create new looks. If you guys have been following me, then you’re probably already familiar with Beauty Pie. It’s basically a club for the beauty obsessed and gives its users access to some of the most innovative products from the world’s leading beauty labs for a fraction of the price. I’ve been so impressed with everything I’ve purchased so far and can really speak to the luxe quality of their formulas from skincare to makeup. If you’re not yet a member, you can can use my code MIAMIASENTME for $10 off your membership (which is only $59 for a whole year and totally worth it)!

Now that spring is on the horizon, I’ve started to trade in my usual smokey eye and strong winged liner in favor of soft, glam eyes. That means using my typical warm and brown eyeshadow palettes less, and instead, reaching for lighter, neutral tones. My latest obsession has been Beauty Pie’s new eyeshadow palette by James Molloy (HERE). The revered makeup artist, known for perfecting the looks of A-list celebs, including Emma Watson and Addison Rae, and more, created three exclusive palettes for Beauty Pie. And now, it’s available for you to shop! I can honestly say they’re worth the hype and wanted to give you guys a full review of this palette. I’ll also be sharing a quick tutorial on how to perfect your everyday eye makeup look using it.

Molloy’s eyeshadow quads focus on precious metals and are available in three different palettes – Gold, Silver and Rose Gold. While all are equally stunning, I chose the Silver quad to create that fresh glam makeup look. It features soft and charcoal brown velvet matte colors, a cool brown metallic frost, and a high shimmer silver tone. The mix of these unique shades are perfect for anyone who loves a traditional smokey eye but want an effortless, romantic take on it.

What sets the palette apart from others is the silky, long-wear formula that delivers pure color payoff – and blends out like a dream. The Italian-made eyeshadows truly live up to the unparalleled quality that Italy is known for. That combined with Molloy’s experience for flattering different skin tones is a match made in heaven. An eyeshadow palette of this caliber would normally be $50, but with a Beauty Pie membership, it’s only $17.40, which is almost too good to be true! Not only that but the shades really do work seamlessly together to make the eyes pop. Here’s how I’ve been using it:

Step 1: Add a light wash of color all over your lids

For my everyday eye makeup look, I start off by applying the Soft Brown velvet matte shade all over the eyelids, blending it well into the crease to create a soft, even base for the rest of the colors.

Step 2: Contour with a deeper color

Next, I use the Charcoal Brown velvet matte shade to contour the crease and outer corners of my eyes. Be sure to blend well so that your eyes look sculpted but not overly defined. This will give you a soft, smokey effect that’s perfect for the day.

Step 3: Add a dark, frosted shade long the lower lash line

To intensify that smokey effect slightly, I’ll sweep the Cool Brown metallic frost under the lower lash line. It brings in that hint of smolder but won’t look harsh given the delicate, frosted finish.

Step 4: Highlight the inner corners of your eyes

I always complete my eyeshadow looks by bringing back more light and dimension with a highlight shade. I like applying the Icy Silver high shimmer shade to the inner corners of my eyes because it brightens them just enough. You can even add a touch to the center of your lids with your ring finger for that wide-eye effect.

Step 5: Finish off with mascara and brow gel

Finally, you can add an eyeliner of your choice, a few coats of a mascara, and defined brows for a complete look. I personally love dark, full lashes, so the Beauty Pie Uber Volume Mascara is perfect for that. To keep my brows in tip top shape, I use the Beauty Pie Arch-Ology Eyebrow Sculpting Gel. It’s an all-in-one taming, tinting, and thickening product.
