This weekend we had a “date night” which we decided we needed to do more often. Between my crazy hours at work and Phil’s music career we often find ourselves working late into the night and often on weekends. Add moving back to where all of our friends and family are and being first time homeowners to the mix and it’s easy to see why we can forget to make time for each other. We’ve only been married for a little over a year, but we’ve been together for almost nine years so we totally get the whole “marriage is work” thing. I’m all about getting dressed up and going out to do something fun together just like when we were dating. Only now I don’t have to worry about how much I eat in front of him! Just one of the many positives of being married. 🙂
Lately I’ve been trying to rework more pieces in my wardrobe like this pink blazer (last featured here) and I’ve stopped purchasing summer pieces and have transitioned to fall so I’m incorporating more fall pieces into my summer looks. This pink blazer from Nordstrom is a great item to transition with. I paired it with one of my favorite rompers and a pair of sky high platforms which aren’t available anymore, but I linked to a similar pair. I love the look of a nude heels with a shorter hemline which instantly elongates my short legs.
