I was thrilled to find out that my fashion icon, Olivia Palermo was coming out with an apparel collection. Well, let’s be honest, what fashion lover wasn’t excited? Olivia has an amazing way of styling every outfit – she has the unique ability to pull together the most random pieces and make something beautiful out of it. One hint that I’ve picked up after perusing her looks on Pinterest over and over again (check out my latest board for inspiration); is that she always incorporates a classic element into her look. Whether it’s a white shirt, utility jacket, fur accessory or a great pair of sneakers; she always grounds her outfits in something we all have lying around – making her style seemingly accessible. I’m pleased to see her collection focuses on what she values – modern, classic pieces with a “high-fashion edge.” I love this bustier top from her collection. It’s so versatile – you can wear it with a blazer like I did here for a work appropriate look and simply remove the blazer for drinks after work. It’s feminine yet comes in a more masculine crisp cotton – which I love. I’m all about mixing feminine and masculine for a more modern feel.
