Home Tour: My Studio

I’m so excited to finally kick off the home series for our newly built house, starting with one of my favorite spaces: my home studio. This is where I spend the majority of my workdays, so I wanted it to feel elevated but still personal. It had to inspire creativity while staying true to the overall design vision of our home. My goal for this space was to create a balance between elegance and comfort. I leaned into a neutral color palette, layered textures, and added a mix of modern and traditional elements to give the studio that lived-in luxury feel. Whether I’m shooting content or answering emails, it’s the kind of room that motivates me to be my most creative and productive.

When we renovated our last home, one of the most impactful upgrades we made was swapping out all the interior door hardware for Grandeur Hardware. It instantly took the space from builder-grade to custom – and it didn’t go unnoticed. During open houses, so many potential buyers commented on the hardware. That’s when we realized how big of a difference these small details can make. (You can revisit that space here.)
So when we started designing our new home, I didn’t even hesitate. I knew we’d be working with Grandeur Hardware again. Their pieces feel like the jewelry of the home. We went with the Carré collection in Vintage Brass to bring in a warm, nostalgic feel, and I just love how the hardware plays against the neutral tones. The best part is that they’re also timeless, so I’ll never feel the need to swap them out.

Out of all the spaces in our new home, I must admit that the office/studio is hands-down my favorite. It’s functional but doesn’t feel too formal or stuffy. The burl wood desk and furniture give it a modern, unexpected edge that sets it apart from the rest of the house. It’s truly a space I look forward to stepping into each day.
This home build has been such a dream project, and I’m excited to take you behind the scenes every step of the way. Each space in the house has been thoughtfully designed, and I’ll be sharing more room reveals in the coming weeks. There’s still so much more to come, but this studio felt like the perfect place to start.
