I absolutely love the versatility of a black blazer. Everyone needs a great fitting one in their wardrobe. I try to rotate mine out every year to keep current with the latest silhouettes. Being petite, it’s hard to find the perfect fit. I’ve definitely worn some awful fitting blazers in my corporate days. I still remember the black blazer I wore to my first “real job” interview during college. To be fair, I was in college so my budget was tight. I remember heading to Express and buying the first black suit I saw. These days you can still get a black blazer at an affordable price, but the fits and silhouettes are much more flattering. This black tuxedo blazer from Topshop is $100 and so versatile – I’d pair it with jeans for a night out (like I did here) or wear it over an a-line dress for a more conservative and work appropriate look.
