They’re often a great conversation piece and tell your guests a little bit more about you. For the fashion-obsessed a Chanel, Tom Ford or Gucci book instantly elevates the decor in a room. It has the same effect that carrying a Chanel bag has on any outfit…instant chic!

Here are five books that are on my must-have list:

Tom Ford: This book is one of the most popular coffee table books and chances are you’ve already seen it on a fashion blogger’s coffee table (mine included). I just love the packaging of this book and who can argue what a genius Tom Ford is.

Influence by Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen: The Olsen twins are two of the most stylish women in Hollywood and in the fashion world. They were huge trendsetters when I was in high school and I still love their style to this day. The name of this book says it all – it’s a series of interviews with people that have influenced Mary-Kate and Ashley. It’s an inspiring resource for fashion lovers and creatives alike.

Chanel: Need I say more? The iconic name instantly adds a luxury touch to any room. Inside the Chanel adorned slipcase are three books – fashion, fine jewelry and perfume. The images in the book span from Coco Chanel’s to Karl Lagerfeld’s designs and present the history behind the brand.

Gucci: The design of this book is so stylish and the pages don’t disappoint either. Documenting the history of the brand through essays and pictures – the book is a great read. It’s a huge book and will definitely make a statement on any coffee table.

Vanity Fair 100 Years: Filled with interesting articles and pictures documenting the “jazz age to our age” – there’s something for everyone in this book. It’s a great conversation piece and the massive size lends well to styling any coffee table.
