Investing in solid basics is the key to building a wardrobe. I love creating a foundation layer with basics and then adding in of-the-moment, trendier pieces like a choker or statement heels. For me, a great tee, ripped jeans and a denim jacket are some of my favorite wardrobe basics – especially heading into fall. I’ve been wearing this oversized denim jacket since spring. The oversized fit is very 90’s and works well over skinny jeans or a dress.

It’s no secret that chokers are trending right now and I could wear one with everything. I love this velvet one for an edgy yet sexy vibe. It instantly elevates even the most basic outfit.
