The best part about fall is layering – which always helps an outfit look more pulled together. I love buying layering pieces now and wearing them over my summer items to transition into fall. You don’t have to spend a lot to score great pieces. I love going to Old Navy to score affordable items that look much more expensive than they are.
Living in Minnesota, booties are an essential item in the fall and winter. Not only are they warm, but they’re comfortable too. I love the color of this pair which is a gray stone color and it matches with everything. The best part is, they’re under $40! A striped boat-neck top is a closet essential for me year-round. It looks great paired with white jeans in the summer and denim in the fall. Stripes are such a classic print that are always in style. I’m totally obsessed with moto jackets. I have too many to count and I love them in every color and fabric. This black cotton version is the perfect weight to wear now. You really can’t ever have enough pairs of denim. I’m typically in a distressed pair, but I’d been craving a more cleaned up version for fall and for pairing with my favorite footwear for fall – over-the-knee boots. These skinny jeans are the perfect wash to go with everything and they fit so well!
Today’s look is inspired by my home state of Minnesota. Our style here is laid back, casual and approachable. We definitely have to dress for the seasons, but sticking with classic pieces helps transition season to season. For more outfit ideas inspired by your state, check out People.com today. I’m so excited to be representing Minnesota! You can submit your own state style by using the hashtags #50styles50states and #OldNavyStyle on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
