There are so many holiday events going on and winter activities that you’ll never run out of ideas. With all of the cozy layers I wear during the cold winter days, I like to mix it up and wearing something a little more fun for a night out on the town. This statement sleeve top is one of my favorite recent finds. I can’t get over how romantic the frilly sleeves are and a white top goes with everything. I paired it with this lace-up mini skirt that’s under $50 and works perfectly with over-the-knee boots – which I almost always wear for a date night.

Here are some of our favorite winter date night activities:

Ice skating – Last winter we went ice skating for the first time in a long time and it was so much fun. This year I’m determined to get ice skates and utilize the ice skating rink in our neighborhood. I think the perfect winter date almost always involves ice skating.

Skiing – We live in MN so there are plenty of ski resorts near us. We only went once last year, but we had a blast!

Holiday Shopping – Ok this might not be Phil’s favorite, but if we head out shopping we always add in something like nice a dinner afterward or a stop by the indoor theme park at Mall of America. We did this the other weekend and went on the new FlyOver America simulation ride. Going on a amusement park ride almost always makes for a great night for Phil.

Christmas Lights Tour – We love driving around looking at Christmas lights and finding our favorite homes in the city that we live in. We’ve also always wanted to try out one of those holiday light tours that chauffeur you around in a limo to the best spots.

Holiday Concert – Every year we go to at least one Christmas concert. Last weekend we went to our first one of the season and had the best time. It’s a great way to unwind and get in the holiday spirit.

xo, Maria
