A great winter coat can live for years in your closet. I tend to hold onto mine for a long time. I love having a different winter coat for every occasion. The shearling coat that I featured yesterday is super practical and it’s great for everyday wear. I always like to have a slightly dressier coat on hand though for more formal holiday events. This burgundy menswear-inspired coat is the perfect weight for winter – not over the top, but warm enough for cold temperatures. Since it comes in my favorite color (burgundy), I had to buy it. I paired it with this amazing faux fur stole – which is definitely a statement piece.

Christmas came early for me this weekend. Phil surprised me with a golden retriever puppy. She’s 7 weeks old and we named her Luna (see her pic here). It’s surreal to have our own dog. We treat my sister’s dog like our own and we’ve been wanting one for years, but with our travel schedule it just didn’t make sense. We’re planning fewer long trips this upcoming year so we decided the timing was right. Get ready for more puppy photos/videos on Snapchat and Instagram Stories. Don’t worry though I’ll still be posting mostly fashion, but I have to take advantage of this puppy stage!
