Although it still feels very much like winter, it’s hard to not start buying spring pieces now. I’m always inspired by new warmer-weather wear this time of year. Heavy winter knits and jackets are still in rotation, but incorporating versatile spring pieces helps my wardrobe to feel renewed. I definitely have a weakness for jackets. I can rarely resist a great jacket. I’ll always find an excuse to buy it now and wear it later. Trench coats are one of my favorite styles. This winter I’ve relied on long wool trench coats to make any outfit feel more put together. For spring, I’m loving lightweight trench coats in fun fabrics and textures. This faux suede coat is one of my favorite recent finds. The rich mahogany color is classic and chic. I stuck with an all white ensemble for a monochromatic look. I like to stick with monochromatic looks when I’m wearing a statement coat. It allows the focus to be on the coat and not on what’s underneath.
