Why I’m Changing Things Up.
Have you noticed things looking a little different lately? I’ve been changing up my look more from my style to our photography. Normally I’d shy away from taking even the slightest risk with my aesthetic, but after falling into a bit of a slump where I’ve frankly felt uninspired, I decided the only way to engage myself again was to change things up a bit. In my professional career, I’ve occasionally found myself in a place of boredom where growth was stagnant and I was yearning for more. That feeling of complacency is not one that I’ve taken lightly. I like to stay productive and exceed my own expectations. Those career slumps have often led me to re-establish my goals and sometimes even go in a whole new direction. In my corporate career, that’s led me to move across the country and even switch careers a few times. I’ve always tried to welcome change and take calculated risks – after all, you always regret the things you didn’t do and rarely the things you did.
As a blogger, that means a little bit of rebranding. Don’t get me wrong, you’re still going to see a lot of street style here, but I’m going to be adding in other elements that inspire me too like more beauty, home decor and even a little more of my personal life. I’ve been enjoying changing up my beauty routine more (like I did here) and I’m kind of loving the slightly brighter images as we’ve been shooting at different times during the day. You’re going to see some changes coming to my blog layout too. I’m excited to start the redesign process very soon!
