Home Series: Master Bedroom Reveal.

I am so excited to reveal my master bedroom makeover! We’ve been working on the space since last fall when we overhauled our old millwork with mouldings by Metrie. Since then we’ve painted the space, redid the flooring with Karastan carpet and added some beautiful furniture from our favorite home furniture store, Z Gallerie. We actually bought a number of Z Gallerie pieces like our bed and nightstands back when we we lived in LA and moved them to MN with us. Our suburban home felt very builder grade when we moved in so we’ve been adding in more custom touches room by room. Our Master was one of the first rooms to be completed because waking up in a nice, clean space always makes both of us feel more inspired. It sounds silly, but it really does impact your mood! Our room went from feeling dark (very beige) and plain to more like a Parisian hotel – a style we both love. I love Parisian-inspired glamour so I’m all about mirrored pieces and these nightstands are showstoppers.
I love the look of flowers in every room, but I definitely don’t have a green thumb so I prefer to use faux flowers wherever possible. NDI makes the most realistic faux flowers – I love how the stems are layered in the water. Most people think they’re real! She loves to stare at herself in this mirror – I think she learned that from Phil. haha
I get asked about this chandelier a lot – it’s from RH Baby & Child. They have a similar selection to RH, but for much less. One of the most drastic improvements to our bedroom happened when we replaced our baseboards with these much taller ones from Metrie and added crown moulding. Metrie’s selection is the best. We went with their French Curves collection.
