Phil and I typically buy each other one luxury item for Christmas and a couple of more affordable, thoughtful items. As the years go by, we’ve both become more minimalistic so we prefer to buy fewer pieces that we know we’ll actually have around for years to come. We’ve always taken that approach when buying gifts for each other. I love that when I wear certain pieces that he bought me years ago, I’m still reminded of the Christmas that he gave it to me.
