With winter temps rolling in and plenty of snow now on the ground, it’s time to start thinking about the pieces that will get you through the season. There’s nothing that’ll get more use out of than outerwear and they’re also the pieces most likely to take a beating from the frigid temps. I love investing in key pieces that I know I can keep in my closet for years to come, but I also like to add more affordable pieces that I can wear anywhere and not have to worry about. I have a couple of winter coats that I’m extra careful with when I wear them, but for everyday use, like running errands and walking the dog, more affordable pieces just make sense. One thing about outerwear in particular is that you don’t have to sacrifice price for style. One of my favorite coats that I’ve been wearing lately for special events is this one – which is on major sale right now. I get so many compliments on it and everyone thinks it’s a designer coat. I took the same approach in searching for an everyday winter coat too. I found this parka at Macy’s and got a great deal on it, I couldn’t believe the quality for the price. I have a thing for this military green color – it’s super versatile and edgy too. My go-to winter boots for running around town are Timberlands – I just love the street style vibe they add to any outfit.
