How To Wear Winter White.

I have to confess, when I first put this all white outfit on, Phil asked about the “no white after Labor Day” rule to which I told him rules are meant to be broken! Really though most fashion faux pas no longer exist – you can get away with everything. Wearing head-to-toe white is one of my favorite combinations in the winter because it reflects the season and we’re buried in snow. It may not always seem like the most practical choice and sometimes it’s not (like on those days all the snow is melting and everything turns to slush).Monochromatic looks always up the chic factor and they’re super easy to pull off. I like to stick with similar tones – this outfit is mostly warm white and shades of ivory. We got so much snow this weekend it’s insane. Just when I thought we might be done with it for a while. There’s still something so magical about a fresh snowfall though so we couldn’t resist driving around our neighborhood to see all the trees lined in snow. I love this area that’s filled with huge Evergreen trees – they are stunning when they’re covered in snow. The dogs absolutely love the snow so we always head outside to play in it with them. Little Leo loves to dig through the snow (that’s why he’s covered in it here). I found this super cozy white duster sweater from Nordstrom the other week and I couldn’t pass it up. I wore it as a jacket and I wasn’t cold at all surprisingly. It’s the perfect winter sweater!
