Although spring is still a little over a month away, I’m ready to mix it up and add in a touch of spring now. There was so much color on the runways this season – yellow, pink and red were standouts. I’m typically in neutrals most days, but at the start of every season I start working in small hints of color. Here are some of my favorite ways to add in spring colors to your wardrobe now.

Make A Bold Statement With Faux Fur

Colored faux fur has been everywhere so far this year – there are so many beautiful pieces. My favorite faux fur pieces are some of the items I’ve had in my closet the longest. They never really go out of style. A bright hue is a great way to add a playful touch to your look now. I bought this faux fur collared coat right before fashion week. Unfortunately, it sold out super fast, but I’ve linked to more favorites above.

Go With Lighter-Colored Footwear For A Chic Touch

Black booties are definitely a cold-weather staple, but it’s fun to mix it up with a pop of color or bright white. White booties are still very on trend and they’re a great way to make an outfit feel chic and modern. I’m also loving red booties still (can’t get over these) and if you’re not ready for a bold statement – go with olive green (obsessed with these).
 

Opt for Light Denim As Base

I’m all about dark denim washes – which will be big again this year, but when I start incorporating spring pastels and bright colors into my wardrobe, I prefer lighter denim washes. Lighter tones work better for a base as they don’t pull your eye away from subtle hints of color. I just got this pair of light distressed skinnies for fashion week. They’re one of my favorite brands and I love the vintage feel to them.
