As I get older and more comfortable in my fashion choices, I’m learning the value of establishing a personal uniform. In my early-20’s I often experimented with the latest styles – even if they didn’t really work on my body type, but these days I’m all about wearing clothes that I know work for me. Sure I’ll experiment with different styles here and there, but I always have a seasonal uniform that I go back to on those days that I don’t know what to wear. When I look at some of my style icons, they all have one thing in common – they know what looks good on their body type and they often stick with the same styles and color palette. My year-round uniform tends to be basics with a statement coat and this spring is no exception. I’m all about duster coats and trenches for a flowing silhouette that feels effortless yet elevated. Monochromatic looks are my favorite outfits to wear – they work really well on petite frames because they elongate. I always love head-to-toe neutrals and this all white outfits combines some of my favorite pieces for this season.
I bought this crop top before NYFW a couple months ago and I totally forgot I owned it until recently when I found it hidden in a bag. I kind of love when that happens! I love the swingy silhouette which adds a modern touch to any outfit. It’s the chicest basic in my wardrobe right now.
