One of my favorite ways to enter a new season is with a bold new lip color. As temperatures start to rise, I usually trade in my everyday nude lip color in favor of bolder, more saturated hues. This spring, the hi-def lip trend is one of the easiest ways to update your beauty routine. It’s all about dominant pinks and reds that pack a punch. I typically go for a hot pink or juicy red lip color. To bring in some dimension, I almost always add a high-shine gloss over the top of whatever lip color I’m wearing. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite pink and red shades that look great on everyone.

YSL is one of my go-to brands for the perfect shade of pink. I’m wearing the Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick lipstick in the color ‘Trapeze Pink’ (No. 52) and I layered the Volupte Liquid Balm in the color ‘Chase Me Nude’ (No. 12) over the top for extra shine. A great red lipstick never goes out of style. I love wearing a bold red lip with an all white or black outfit to really let my lip color make the statement.
