When it comes to my summer wardrobe, I like to keep it easy and chic. Summers in Minnesota are super hot and humid so I live in breathable, airy fabrics that keep me cool. I’m usually in one of three outfits during the summers – easy dresses, basic tops with denim cut-offs or statement tops with denim. Those three pairings are always on rotation for me because they’re effortless, comfortable and can be dressed up or down. In general, for my summer wardrobe, I gravitate toward pieces that are clean, modern and can easily be mixed and matched. Today I’m partnering with Macy’s to share some of my favorite pieces from their 1. State collection – which has some beautiful yet affordable pieces to mix and match for endless outfit combinations.
Summer Day Dresses
While I’m usually not big on dresses throughout the year, summer weather calls for day dresses because they’re so easy to throw on and they keep me cool. For length, I usually opt for mini or maxi styles and not much in between. I’ve found those to be the most flattering shapes for my petite frame. Here are some easy dresses that I’m loving for summer from Macy’s 1. State collection.
For summer nights, I live in statement tops and denim shorts or skirts. They’re so easy and chic. Here are some of my favorite affordable ones from Macy’s 1. State collection.
When we’re just relaxing at home on the weekends, I’m usually in a basic tee or cami and denim shorts. Basics are great because they’re easy and comfortable, but when I buy basics I like to pick ones that have an interesting cutout or silhouette. Macy’s 1. State Collection has some great basics that feel anything but basic.
