Now that it’s finally getting warmer, Phil and I have been making every effort to get outside and enjoy it. Most of our dates tend to be outdoors this time of year. Working alongside each other most days means the lines between time together and quality time together can easily get blurred so we’ve always made a point of taking time to unplug and get out of the house a few times a week to do something non-work related.

In the spring, we tend to opt for more casual dates – especially if they involve the outdoors – which means I ditch my heels for more practical footwear. My go-to brand for any outdoor activity is Timberland. You’ve probably noticed that I wear them in most of my outdoor winter photos because I live in them in the winter! They have so many great styles for spring and summer too that are comfortable and weather-proof. Timberland boots are a staple in my wardrobe because they add an edgy touch to any outfit. I always order mine from Macy’s because they have such a great selection and super easy shipping and returns (if needed). Phil’s a huge fan too! We often buy similar pairs. I just got these in the perfect nude color – perfect for wearing with warm-weather neutrals. I love that they have a hidden wedge for a little height, but they’re super comfortable too. Phil’s wearing the Kendrick Chukka boots which can be dressed up or down – which is always a plus for date nights.

Take A Drive

When the seasons change, we love taking drives through the countryside near our home. There’s something so romantic about getting lost on winding roads surrounded by nature. We love driving through wooded areas and down by the river – especially at sunset.

Set Up A Picnic

Picnics are so fun because they’re always an adventure. Whether you pack a picnic basket and head to the beach or order pizzas and take them out on the road – you can make a picnic that suits any activity.

Head To A Local Winery

Most cities now have some type of winery or brewery nearby. Phil and I love wineries not only for the wine, but for the scenery too.

Go To The Beach

We live near a number of lakes and the river – which is so pretty in the spring and summers. We almost always take the dogs to the river with us – they love the water!

Head To A Patio

Patio season is here! Some of my favorite summer memories over the years involve dinner and drinks out on a patio. It’s such a great way to unwind after a busy week. Phil and I have a favorite patio near us that we can take the dogs too. It’s always quite the experience with them wanting to meet everyone and eat everything.

Grill Out

We always look forward to grilling out because you can throw anything on a grill and it tastes better. We always eat outside when we grill out – it’s makes for the perfect evening.

Go Out For Ice Cream

Our favorite ice cream places always open back up in the spring and we always look forward to going to them. We are totally those people that go on opening day.
