Now that we’re halfway through 2018, I wanted to share a recap of the year so far. This year I’ve been more focused on sharing a well-edited wardrobe with you – which means reworking key pieces and providing a balance of high and low pieces. I’ve also been expanding the type of content that I share – with our home renovations taking center stage. Here are the posts that continue to be the most read posts of 2018 so far.
This Gucci belt has been everywhere this season and so many of you are still interested in purchasing. I put together a Guide To Buying a Gucci Belt to help anyone searching for their perfect size. I ordered several belts when I got my first one to figure out my best size so in this post, I shared how to determine your size, whether the wait list is worth it and where I scored mine immediately.
Another post that I really enjoyed putting together was this one where I talked about Where I Splurge Vs. Where I Save in my wardrobe. I talked about all the categories and exact pieces that I splurge on in my wardrobe (like handbags, shoes and denim) and where I save (tops, accessories and casual footwear). I shared the exact pieces in my wardrobe that I think are worth the purchase and which pieces I’d rather save on.
I kicked off the year adding a couple new bags to my designer handbag collection and in this post I shared all the designer bags on my 2018 wish list.
Who doesn’t love a great sale. In this post I shared designer pieces my wardrobe that are still on sale – and most still are and in stock. This Givenchy bag is my favorite designer item on sale right now. It retails for $2,450, but it’s on sale right for $1,800.
We’ve spent the majority of the last year and a half with our home under renovation. So far this year I’ve shared a couple of our home renovations with you guys (our kitchen and bathroom). I’m so glad you enjoy those types of posts because home decor is such a passion of mine – I think I might love it even more than fashion! Our master bathroom renovation is still one of my most read posts each month.
Our kitchen renovation is also still a popular post. It wasn’t a full overhaul (we just refaced the cabinets, updated the appliances and put in new countertops and backsplash), but the transformation was dramatic – see it here. I’m so happy with the way it turned out. I will be sharing more home renovations soon – we’re just finishing up a couple of other bathrooms and an entire lower-level workspace that I can’t wait to reveal!
One of the most popular questions that I get on Instagram is regarding the type of extensions that I use. I wrote a whole post about the clip-in extensions that I wear daily (here). I’ve tried out a couple of other methods, but I just can’t part ways with clip-ins. They’re so easy to put in (takes me about 5 minutes) and I love that I don’t have to wear them while I wash and blow dry my own hair – with all other methods my hair feels so heavy and takes forever to style.
