There’s only 7 days left till Christmas, and I’m happy that I can finally relax a little since I’m done with the bulk of my holiday shopping. With this time of year being so busy, I often forget to think about what I’m going to wear for all the holiday get-togethers. So I wanted to share some Christmas party outfit ideas in case it hasn’t crossed your mind either. Since Christmas is a special time of year, I try to make the most of it and dress for the occasion. No matter where you’re celebrating, it’s important to have some stylish and festive outfits that range from cozy to glam. Here are 7 looks that will help you get through the following week.
1. White Sweater Dress
A cozy white sweater dress is always a safe bet for any Christmas party. If you’re wanting a casual and comfortable look, pair it with flat or low heeled boots; however, you can also dress it up with stiletto over the knee boots and a blazer. I have been coveting these snake skin boots all season long and finally bit the bullet. I love how it makes this simple outfit look so fresh. I would definitely wear this look to a Christmas party.
2. Red Dress
A classic Christmas-red dress is an obvious choice for a holiday affair. Your options are endless here. A sweater dress is great for gathering with the family; however, dressier satin and velvet fabrications will keep you looking super chic. If you want to spice things up, add black patent leather pumps likes these.
3. Festive Sweater + Jeans
A cute sweater and jeans combo is another go-to outfit. Since this is a look I often wear everyday, I like to change it up with a cute festive design like this one. You can dress up the look with heels or opt for casual booties. If you’re not into Christmas sweaters, consider a classic Fair Isle motif – it’s a cold weather staple that always feels a festive enough for the holidays.
If you’re looking for a dressy outfit that’s simple to put together, a jumpsuit is the way to go. A sweetheart neckline and bold red color like the one I wore here will definitely put you in the spotlight. Keep your jewelry simple and add sleek heels to let this hero piece shine.
5. Blazer Dress
One style I have been obsessed with lately are blazer dresses and I noticed that several retailers like Nordstrom and Revolve have started stocking up on them. It’s a piece that always looks so sophisticated and elegant. Recreate the look by wearing an oversized blazer as a dress as I did back in this post, and add a belt to accentuate your waistline.
6. Chunky Knit + Pencil Skirt
I love wearing chunky knits all through fall and winter because it’s such a versatile piece to create tons of gorgeous outfits. For an office Christmas party, I like to wear my chunky sweaters with pencil skirts.
7. Sequin Dress
A sequin dress is definitely for dancing the night away, so if you’re off to a Christmas cocktail party or black tie event, you should dress the part in a sequin number. Pair this look with strappy heels, a clutch, and statement earrings.
