New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and I’m so excited to conclude 2018. If you haven’t finalized what you’re wearing yet, there’s no need to worry. Since this is the holiday to close the year out with a bang, there’s no such thing as being over dressed. I know it can feel overwhelming to find the perfect outfit for such an occasion, but I personally love taking this time to make a statement since there are fewer events for me to get dressed up as I get older. Whether you’re celebrating with a small group of friends or having a romantic night out with your partner, I’m sharing some of my favorite ideas for New Year’s Eve outfits.

Date Night

For a date night, I love going all out glam with a sparkly dress. I always look for a slimming cut and fit that’s sexy but also classy. To bring out the glam even more, I often like to add a faux fur stole and extra high heels. This outfit goes hand in hand with a romantic celebration to end the year and will help you seal it with a kiss. Below, you’ll find more of my sparkly favorites.

House Party

I love the idea of mixing up sparkly dresses with an edgier look that’s made up of leather leggings or a leather skirt. It’s often a more practical choice to wear pants for New Year’s considering how cold it is. You really can’t go wrong mixing leather pants with a flirty blouse or a lace camisole since it gives off a sexy vibe without being over the top. Leather leggings are also a great winter staple that’s extra comfy, making them a great option for a New Year’s Eve house party.

Cocktail Party

If you’re sending off the year at a cocktail party, consider keeping it dressy in a lace dress. You can also add in more festive elements like glitter heels and statement earrings. However, if you want to go all out, then bring out a floor sweeping evening gown. Remember that the mix of textures and jewel tones will keep you feeling on-trend and fancy.

Girl’s Night Out

New Year’s Eve is the perfect time to dance the night away, so if you’re celebrating with the girls for a night out, your best bet might be a jumpsuit that doesn’t cling to your body. All you need to do is add a pair of heels and a moto jacket and you’ll be party ready in an instant!

Dinner Party

If your idea of celebrating New Year’s is heading out to a local restaurant with friends, a little black dress is the ultimate going out uniform. Slit details, feather accents, and asymmetrical lines will give this classic piece an update. However, if you haven’t had time to grab a dress for the new year, you can re-wear an old one that’s already in your closet. Don’t forget to accessorize it with bold accessories to elevate and freshen up your look.
