Every year, I look forward to spring because the warmer and milder weather signals vacation season. I always get excited to go somewhere new whether it’s a weekend trip to a different city or an exotic excursion. Packing during springtime can be tricky since Minnesota is still cold and I’m usually off to warmer destinations – but I look forward to it since I get to bring out my most coveted spring pieces. This season, I’ve purchased a ton of my spring looks from Intermix. Its collection is full of effortless pieces that can easily transition from day to night making packing easier. So I thought I’d round up some of my favorite pieces that you can pack for a perfect spring vacation in case you have any upcoming trips.
I love that Intermix has a large collection of exclusive styles from my favorite designer brands. I always find the most unique pieces in my wardrobe there. A lot of you guys ask about the one-shoulder gray and cream off-the-shoulder sweaters I’ve worn a lot this past winter and they’re both exclusive styles to Intermix – which can sell out quick so if you see something you love that’s exclusive, I highly recommend purchasing it especially since you won’t be able to find it anywhere else.
1. Light Jacket
A light jacket for any spring occasion goes without saying. I always bring at least one jacket for my trip – and it’s typically a blazer, which I’ll throw on while en route to my destination. You can’t go wrong with this piece no matter where you’re headed – and Intermix currently offers several stunning options in fresh colors and patterns.
Jeans are one of those pieces I can live in and I’m often caught traveling in them. Since my style is naturally on the dressier side, I love distressed denim to add a bit of edge to my looks. Plus, it always makes an outfit feel more effortless especially with feminine blouses.
My ideal vacation involves lots of walking, so I always like to bring a pair of flats. Since spring weather can be unpredictable – depending on where you’re headed, sneakers are the trustiest pair to have on hand. A sleek style like the Golden Goose ones I’m wearing are just perfect. You guys know how much I love this brand – and Intermix currently offers broad selection that is so fun for any spring trip.
There’s nothing I enjoy more than feeling casual and comfortable while I’m on vacation. So, I make sure to have a few basic tees that I can throw on with jeans and shorts. The look I’m wearing here is comprised of basics – and is a travel outfit I often put together when I’m in a new city.
I typically rely on accessories to complete my outfit whether it’s a designer handbag, pair of sunglasses, or jewelry. For bags, cross body styles are the most versatile and convenient while on vacation. I’m pretty minimal when it comes to jewelry but I do love a pair of statement earrings to spice things up.
6. Dresses & Flirty Tops
One of the things I love most about going on vacation is being able to dress up in pieces I wouldn’t normally wear on a daily basis. So, I always like to pack dressier garments such as an elegant dress or a flirty blouse for nights out and special dinners. Lace and ruffle tops are great because they can be styled with jeans for the day.
