I’m sure it’s obvious by now that I love investing in key pieces that I know I can keep in my closet for the next several years. For example, the designer picks in yesterday’s post, which you can snag at a discounted price from the My Theresa sale here. However, I also like to add more affordable pieces that I can wear anytime. Although I’ll often encourage you guys to buy better quality when it makes sense, I also realize that designer fashion doesn’t come cheap. If you’re in need of new wardrobe staples but can’t splurge on such big ticket items, I rounded up the best and most affordable alternatives for my favorite designer pieces. Chances are that if you love the look of a particular piece, you can find something similar and sensible for your budget. Scroll on to find out what they are! Outerwear
I'm obsessed with Balmain blazers because they're flawlessly designed and extremely versatile. The nipped waist makes it ultra flattering over everything.
This blazer is under $100 and closely resembles the Balmain piece. I love how the gold hardware and fitted waist lends the same polished feel. I own it in black, navy, and white.
The Burberry trench coat has been one of my best designer splurges to date. I wear it throughout spring and fall, which makes the investment worthwhile.
Although this J.Crew trench isn't an exact dupe for the Burberry version, it's a great starter trench for anyone who isn't ready to splurge. It definitely looks more expensive than it is.
Acne makes some of the best leather jackets. This is one of my favorite throw on and go pieces when I'm pressed for time.
If you like the classic look of the Acne moto jacket with the belt and asymmetrical zips, this Madewell one comes pretty close.
I own several GRLFRND jeans because they fit incredibly well even on my petite frame. This pair is one of my most worn jeans and I've never been able to catch it on sale.
For a similar option with the straighter leg and distressing, you can't go wrong with this Levi's pair. It's another piece I frequently wear.
These sandals are so simple yet chic and classy. It's easy to see why they're so popular in the fashion community.
Steve Madden makes a similar pair that looks almost as stunning. It's one of my summer staples.
I rarely splurge on designer heeled sandals, but I couldn't pass up the modern, classy look of these Manolo's. They're such a great style to wear during late spring and summer.
For a fraction of the price, you can have the same look with these heels by Schutz!
I've been really into flat, lace-up boots for an edgier street style vibe. These Givenchy boots are just perfect for that.
For a similar look, you can snag these Sam Edelman boots for less than $200. The stud and buckles have the same edgy effect.
I'm obsessed with these sunglasses and always get so many compliments whenever I wear them, but they're currently sold out everywhere.
If you like that strong angular design and matte black look, here is a budget-friendly option.
