Save Vs. Splurge: My Signature Fragrances

fashion blogger mia mia mine wearing a floral dress to a fall weddingAfter years of being on a quest to find a signature scent, I’ve finally narrowed down my favorite perfumes to a few essentials. I firmly believe that scent is just as important as a handbag or a pair of shoes – it really rounds out an entire look. However, not all fragrances are created equal, which is why I’m sharing my save vs splurge fragrances today. Whenever I’m in need of a long lasting scent, I typically prefer something more refined and a little deeper. Just as I would only wear my favorite dress for a special event, I only use my formal fragrances when an occasion calls for it. Perfumes tend to be more expensive in this category. For my everyday scents, I’m less picky about longevity – and prefer something lighter. Here are my favorite fragrances.

Where I Splurge…

Chanel

Coco Mademoiselle

With one spritz, you get enveloped in the most beautiful scent. I love how it's both feminine and warm. It manages to last from morning to evening, which is crucial, especially when you're splurging!

Jo Malone

English Pear & Freesia Cologne

This is one of my favorite scents for summer since it strikes a mix of flowers and fruits. It's so fresh, sexy, and sophisticated.

Chloe

Chloe Eau de Parfum

The Chloe Eau de Parfum perfectly captures the chic, feminine spirit of the brand. It's long-wearing and smells light and clean.

Viktor & Rolf

Flowerbomb

This scent definitely leans on the sweeter side, but I like how it's reminiscent of an expensive floral arrangement. It's great for day and night.

Tom Ford

Ombre Leather

If you're looking for something that isn't too feminine, Ombre Leather is the best option out there. I typically prefer this fragrance during the colder months.

Where I Save…

Gucci

Bloom

Spring is one of my favorite times of year. The weather gets warmer, the days get longer and flowers begin to bloom again. This perfume reminds me of that - it's hard to believe you can get it for under $100.

Marc Jacobs

Daisy

Not only is the bottle so adorable, but the fresh and youthful scent is so addictive.

Fresh

Brown Sugar

This is the best low-key fragrance to wear anywhere all year round. It gives off a warm citrus scent that's subtly sweet.

Philosophy

Amazing Grace Body Spray

On days where I am not doing anything particularly special, I will opt for a body spray. This one offers a classic lightweight scent that is feminine and modern.
