However, I find that accessories are often overlooked especially during spring and summer. Accessories can really anchor an outfit together by helping define the overall theme of a look. It’s often those last minute details that make an outfit feel really complete. One of the best parts of stocking up on new accessories is the fact that they don’t require a huge portion of your paycheck. Knowing this makes it easy to be adventurous in undertaking the biggest trends. Read on to see which spring accessories have the ability to elevate your wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Sunglasses

I cannot leave the house without sunglasses perched above my head. I always have a pair around ready to be worn at any given time of the day. Although, I am a big believer in elegant, oversized sunglasses the majority of the time, spring is a great time to try out new shapes. Micro sunglasses, colored lens and frames, and shield sunnies are some of the recurring themes when it comes to eyewear this season.

Hair Clips

Hair clips and scrunchies are everywhere this season – and it offers such a different way to style your hair. Some of the latest hair clips are embellished with pearls, crystals, and bejeweled words. However, standard metal clips and bobby pins are also seen in waves, tucking hair away from the face. This spring accessory trend is definitely one of the quirkier fads, but it seems like it’s here to stay all throughout spring and summer!

Fedora

As the sun starts to get stronger, you may want to consider adding a versatile hat to your wardrobe. Although I am a big fan of throwing on my Yankees baseball cap to complete my casual outfits (and to salvage bad hair days), sometimes I need something dressier. That’s where my fedoras come into play. I have a few options in neutral colors like cream and black so they can compliment a wide range of looks. This is a great accessory for playing up casual denim looks.

Beach Bag

Beach bags crafted from straw, raffia, linen, and canvas continue to be a hit as we enter spring and summer. I love how it adds a natural texture to to my warm weather outfits. Plus, these roomy totes are more than just aesthetic – they’re practical and can hold a ton of things.

Statement Buckle Belt

While I do feel that belts are a classic wardrobe staple, I think this season’s statement buckle makes them feel even more special. You guys know I swear by my Gucci belt – it’s probably my favorite accessory of all time. However, I’m also a fan of western-inspired buckles. During spring and summer, I love adding belts to all my denim looks.

Gold Jewelry

Gold chains and coin pendants are some of the biggest of the moment jewelry trends. Although I love using jewelry to elevate an outfit, I tend to opt for delicate jewels over heavier pieces. I usually don’t like to spend more than $100 on jewelry because I switch them in and out so often. Below are some of my favorite picks.
