5 Key Athleisure Pieces for Casual Cool Style

Spring is the one of those seasons that even the most casual pieces can feel cool. Although I love my heels, I do spend a lot of days in sneakers and a comfy outfit, especially when I’m traveling or running errands around town. Spring weather makes it easier to incorporate sportier pieces into your wardrobe since you can lightly layer them up with classic staples. If your style leans dressy and tailored, the thought of wearing athletic gear can seem intimidating. However, all it really takes is just one or two items to take an outfit from dressy to casual and cool. I typically do most of my shopping for sportswear on Finish Line because I love their broad mix of true activewear pieces as well as more relaxed styles that work for the gym or off-duty style. Today, I’ll be sharing the 5 athleisure pieces I always rely on for casual cool style that looks effortless and chic at the same time.
Chunky Trainers
A classic pair of sneakers will help make your outfit functional and effortless. I usually stick to sneaker brands like adidas because I know they offer stylish designs that don’t look overly athletic. These Nite Jogger shoes from Finish Line are my latest find, and I have been obsessed with the thick cushioning and responsive BOOST sole. They are probably my most comfortable shoe yet. These sneakers were originally designed to help runners stand out at night while running, but has since been updated to include adidas’ BOOST technology and fun colorways that make you stand out anytime.
Baseball Cap
I’ve always loved how the addition of a baseball cap instantly dress down an outfit. This one not only looks cool in black with the classic adidas logo, but it can take you from the gym to post workout plans in an instant. It comes in handy on days that I don’t have time to fix my hair. The strapback is also easy to adjust, ensuring that the hat fits around your head comfortably.
Pullover
Chilly spring mornings and evenings call for a pullover whether it’s a sweatshirt or a hoodie. I love how seamlessly they pair with everyday looks. Plus, the style is so simple that you can easily take it off and tie it around your waist as the day warms up.
Sporty Tee
Outerwear is key to dressing up t-shirts since it balances out a recognizable logo like adidas and add personality to your favorite jeans. I have been wearing mine with a blazer or denim jacket – and it never looks too sporty.
Leggings
I don’t always wear leggings, but when I do, I love throwing in a trendier moto or bomber jacket to make it look less like I’m going to the gym. Paired with a structured handbag, you’ll definitely look more streetwear-appropriate.
