I love a good deal as much as I love designer pieces, which is exactly why I believe in buying pre-owned luxury goods. However, I find that with designer brands, I typically run into a few issues regarding price and availability. So many of the items on my wishlist sold out so fast that I wasn’t able to get my hands on them – or they were just too expensive. This is when it makes sense to shop second hand.
For years, eBay has been one of my go-to sites for finding pre-owned bags and even shoes. eBay now offers guaranteed authenticity on certain items for buyers and sellers, which makes shopping easier and more dependable. In the past several of you messaged me asking how to ensure authenticity when purchasing used luxury goods. This has always been a top concern for me too, so I’m glad that eBay’s Authenticate program takes care of it all now. Below, I wanted to round up the bags and shoes worth buying on ebay.
Louis Vuitton
When it comes to investing in my wardrobe, there are a few tried-and-true brands that I always shop. I tend to stick with brands that are known for their quality and classic styles. If you’re an avid reader, then I’m sure you can probably already guess that Louis Vuitton is one of them. The Neverfull tote is one of my most-used bags. Since the price gradually increases each year, you can find one at a discount through eBay’s Authenticate program.
Chanel
My favorite bag in my designer collection will always be my Chanel bag, which Phil bought from a luxury pre-owned reseller years ago. Looking back, I feel like he overpaid, but lucky for you, there are several authentic styles in great condition from eBay.
Trending Designer Brands
Louis Vuitton and Chanel may be the ultimate classics for me, but there are a few other labels I continuously stock up on. For instance, Gucci, Chloe, Saint Laurent, and Prada. I love investing in these brands because I know they’ll instantly elevate my look and stand the test of time.
Exclusive Designer Pieces
There are some bags that will be really hard to get your hands on, such as the Hermes Birkin bag. The Birkin is one of the most desirable handbags in the world – and you can’t just walk into an Hermes store to buy one. However, you can score one on eBay. Celine is another brand that’s hard to find simply because its boutique locations aren’t readily accessible everywhere. Limited edition colors and styles from some of my other favorite brands can also usually be found on eBay.
Designer Shoes
I tend to shop eBay for designer handbags mostly, but I’ll also browse designer shoes once in a while. I’m always surprised by the volume of Christian Louboutin and Gianvito Rossi shoes that I find in new or gently used condition.
