As much as I love all the cute summer dresses, it’s probably obvious that denim is one of the most worn pieces in my wardrobe. I wear jeans almost every day because they offer an endless amount of outfit combinations and pair so flawlessly with basics and statement tops. I’m often told jeans can look too laid-back especially if you’re aiming for a dressier look, so I wanted to share some of my favorite ways to dress up your favorite denim pieces for summer.

Loose fitting styles with rips and distressing always look far more casual compared to clean skinny jeans with slight distressing. That’s the primary reason why I tend to favor skinnies. It looks super classy with high-waisted denim, but works just as well with cutoffs and mini skirts too.

To spice up your jeans with something a bit more fun and flirty, a statement top always does the trick. I typically look for tops with summer prints, ruffle details, and off-the-shoulder necklines.
