August’s Most Wanted

August is a sign that fall is near, so I tried to be more thoughtful about my clothing purchases this month. Instead of indulging on end of summer sales like I usually do, I focused more on transitional pieces that have longevity, such as this cardigan and these joggers. I’m so glad to see that you guys enjoyed them. I’ve already gotten so much wear from them and know they’ll go far into fall. Today, I wanted to share all the pieces you guys shopped the most throughout August. From fresh knitwear to trendy bottoms and basics, you’ll be able to wear these pieces on repeat and mix them into your existing wardrobe.
This leopard printed blouse was a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale find and it sold out so fast. It’s going to come in handy this fall with animal print being such a huge trend. Nordstrom finally restocked it, so if it’s been on your wishlist, now’s the time to grab it (here).
I shared this Lovers + Friends sweater on my monthly shopping guide for August and finally got a hold of it. I was excited to see that you guys were buying it too. It’s such a great piece to wear while we’re in that transitional phase from summer to fall. It’s already selling out so fast!
Matching knit sets are a trend I can’t get enough of lately. So when I saw this skirt, I just had to have it. The zipper detail and slit adds a modern touch. Be sure to grab it with the sweater above (here) so you can wear them together.
The Dionysus bag started my Gucci obsession – and lately, I’ve been carrying it nonstop. I love the neutral color and smaller size, which dresses up any outfit. It’s perfect for days and nights when I don’t want to haul around too much. I already know I’m going to get so much out of it this fall.
A shirt dress is the easiest thing you can wear from the office through evening hours. I just love the utilitarian detailing on this one from Abercombie. I changed out the original belt for my Gucci one and it definitely ups the chic factor. This is one of those pieces that you can wear now and later. For less than $100, you won’t regret buying it.
Lately, when I’m not wearing distressed denim, I love pulling on a pair of joggers. This pair has quickly become my favorite with the slick texture and tie details at the waist and ankles. They’re so easy to dress up or down and look great with heels.
This cardigan was another #Nsale find and it’s already gotten so much wear. The rich cashmere wraps you up in cozy comfort. It’s light enough to wear for cooler evenings now and will make a great layering piece once fall hits.
There’s nothing I love more than basic knits with a twist and this sweater is the epitome of that. The cut out detail adds a sexy touch while the longer sleeves are perfect for the change of weather. It fits perfectly in all the right places and pairs well with a a variety of outfits.
These GRLFRND jeans are my go-to in the fall and winter seasons. I love the light distressing and the stiffer feel, which are ideal when you’re going after an street style chic look. The high-waist fit is perfect for fall sweaters and you can roll the hem for a cropped effect.
