In fact, I’m a big believer in working with the pieces that you already have in your closet and then investing in a few quality essentials throughout the season to keep it fresh. This is one of my tried-and-true tips for building a chic wardrobe without overspending your budget. Oftentimes, you just have to know where to shop and what to buy, which is why I love shopping at Nordstrom. Nordstrom always carries such a broad assortment of brands and the most up-to-date trends that make it possible to look luxe with just a few pieces. I love being able to shop for them all in one place. Today, I wanted to share some of the newer pieces I picked up and will be relying on to elevate my looks for fall. Keep scrolling to find out what they are.

1. Embossed Boots

Animal textures are making everything feel extra high-end this season. And you can’t really go wrong with boots in snake-embossed or croc-effect textures. Their slight shine and structured feel make everything look more expensive. You can wear them to dress up jeans – or pair them with mini skirts. Either way, you’ll look like a million bucks.

2. Textured Clothing

Textured garments like faux leather or suede can make an outfit feel pricier than it actually is. With leather being such a huge trend this season, you can score several amazing pieces at Nordstrom without breaking the bank. I love pairing stronger textures with softer ones, like cozy knits, for an effortlessly chic vibe.

3. Tailored Pieces

Just one or two tailored pieces can add polish to your wardrobe. I’ll usually opt for a tailored wool coat, double-breasted blazer, or paper bag pants. Going for neutral colors like camel or black are simple and effective ways to elevate your outfit – and they’ll never go out of style. Nordstrom carries so many great options that are under $100.

4. Leather Belts

The addition of simple accessories can make all the difference in the world because it looks intentional and put together. When I’m wanting to up the chic factor in my outfit, I’ll add a leather belt to my look and tuck in my top.

5. Structured Handbags

A structured handbag that holds its shape is ideal for building that expensive-looking wardrobe. Whether it’s a large or small bag, it’ll add instant luxe to your outfit. My Givenchy Antigona handbag has been my go-to throughout the fall and winter seasons because of the way it holds up. However, there are more affordable options that are just as chic.

xo, Maria
