I wanted to share my guide to the best holiday dresses today because they always sell out so fast. It’s always a good idea to have a few on hand so you’re not frantically searching for something to wear at the last minute. I personally love getting dressed up during this time of the year and I think it’s part of what makes the season so fun and memorable. Whether you have a black tie event to attend or a cocktail party, I rounded up several options below that will help ensure you’re the best dressed guest.

Sequins

There’s nothing I look forward to wearing more than a sequin dress during the holidays. They’re always so much fun! When rocking a sequin dress, I always look for longer sleeves (or hemline) so it feels more polished. I love pairing mine with neutral heels and accessories. If sequins aren’t your thing, consider adding sparkly pants or a top to your holiday attire.

Sheer Sleeve Dresses

Sheer sleeves were such a big trend all year long, and they’ve trickled down into dresses. I find that sheer detailing is one of the best ways to make a LBD feel new and different.

Black Tie Dresses

Longer evening gowns are perfect for any formal event, such as a wedding or gala. Although they’re far and few between, you can’t go wrong with having at least one winter-friendly style in your wardrobe.

One-Shoulder Dresses

Another huge trend that’s been going strong this year are one-shoulder pieces. This unique neckline works so well on holiday dresses because it’s the perfect mix of modest and sultry. I love pairing one-shoulder dresses with statement earrings.

Velvet Dresses

Velvet dresses are hands down my favorite holiday party look because the fabric is so luxe and it looks even more amazing in stunning jewel tones. A velvet dress and crystal jewelry is such a classic holiday mix, but never gets old.

Silky Dresses

When it comes to finding the perfect outfit, silky dresses made from satin, lamé, or silk are also beautiful options. I love simple slip dresses because they never go out of style, which means you can wear it beyond the holiday season.

Red Dresses

Red is definitely a staple and exudes all the best Christmas vibes. I also love the idea of wearing a red jumpsuit in place of a dress!

Blazer Dresses

With so many functions to attend, a blazer dress is definitely the most versatile option. It offers enough coverage for an office party but is also dressy enough for a night out. It’s also one of those looks that you can improvise. I’ll often wear an oversized blazer as a dress and cinch it at the waist.
