If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that when it comes to fashion, I love good basics. They’re the essential building blocks that make up a good wardrobe. However, they aren’t always the easiest to find. And when you do find them, they can be expensive. That’s why I end up buying many of my basics from Walmart fashion. I love that their latest spring collection includes pieces that are not only chic and affordable, but feel super comfortable too. Recently, I was able to find a really great look that checks off all those boxes from Walmart and wanted to share it with you today!
At the start of spring, I always get so excited about changing my wardrobe from heavy layers to lighter flowy pieces. But since winter lasts so long in Minnesota, early spring isn’t really the best time for dresses and sandals. Instead, basic tees are what I rely on for transitional dressing. You can layer them under dresses, pair them with skirts and tights, or dress them down with denim. Either way, you can never have too much of them.
Another must-have spring basic is good denim. I’m sure you all know my denim addiction is real and I live for a great pair of jeans. It’s the one piece of clothing I wear more than anything else! Lately, I’ve been rocking a lot of black and white jeans, so I’m excited about adding new washes to the mix – like this gray one from Sofia Jeans.
Transitional outerwear staples are what get me through a cold spring season. Since my spring wardrobe always tends to be built off of basics around this time, I layer on statement pieces to elevate my look. This usually happens in the form of outerwear – I love leather moto jackets, utility styles, and denim fabrications. Walmart has some really great styles at incredible prices.
There’s nothing like a great pair of heels to dress up an outfit. These heels are unbelievably comfortable because of the square toe and soft leather thats molds comfortably to your feet. They’re such a great buy for the warmer seasons because you can wear them with dresses or denim. I’m also loving the wedges and espadrilles trend, which Walmart also carries a ton of.
