My Parisian-Inspired Home Office

Last week I kicked off a new home series with our living room makeover and today I’m excited to share my home office revamp. We also have a shared home office space in our basement where we work most days so this space is doubles as my office and closet. It’s a space that’s truly mine so I went all out with feminine, glam details. My home decor aesthetic always leans into Parisian charm and my office decor is no exception. I wanted it to feel fashion-forward, but still have a vintage feel. Antique-inspired lighting, oversized floral arrangements and vintage brass hardware helped to give the room a sense of character reminiscent of a Parisian apartment.
To add Parisian-inspired charm, we had the trim replaced, added crown moulding and recently replaced the doors and hardware. I’ve always loved circle three panel doors although you don’t see them that often in homes these days. I knew I had to have them for this room so I researched endlessly online and finally found a manufacturer called Woodgrain who makes them. We loved the circle doors so much we ended up getting them for every room in our house. You can find a dealer near you through this link.
When it came to the hardware, I went with a matte brass vintage-inspired design by Grandeur Hardware and I’m so happy with the quality and design. I was even able to order two finishes for the main door hardware so that all of the hardware from the hallway matched (we went with polished nickel for that). The hardware really elevates the room despite being a relatively small and easy change.
When it comes to decor, the first thing I bought for my office when we moved in was this hummingbird wallpaper. I love how delicate and feminine it is – it really sets the tone for the room. I pulled a lot of the colors in the room from the wallpaper – mainly teal, pink, gold and orange. Another favorite piece in this room is the abstract painting which I often get questions about – many people are surprised to hear that it’s a Home Goods find. For added storage, I chose this white campaign dresser which holds a lot of my beauty items, office essentials and camera gear. My recent addition to the room is this acrylic clothing rack with I custom ordered through LuxHoldups. I love that it’s a statement piece yet it’s super functional. Keep scrolling to see more…
