The Best Work-From-Home Outfit Ideas

I’ve had the luxury of working from home for the past few years now, but I’m sure it’s a new concept for many of you. While it feels convenient to just stay in your pajamas or loungewear all day, it can start to take a toll on your productivity. I’ve found that properly getting dressed and sticking to a consistent work schedule allow me to accomplish more. Plus, I’m always set and ready to go if any Zoom or video conference calls come in. It also helps me stay grounded and positive during unstable times like this so I enjoy getting ready. If you’re wanting to step up your outfits while working remotely, here are some stylish work-from-home outfit ideas that you can recreate.
Balmain Blazer (wearing an FR34, better for budget here) | CamiNYC Lace Tank (better for budget here) | GRLFRND Jeans (wearing a 23 – size down) | Gucci Belt (also here, wearing a size 70 – read my ‘Gucci Belt Buying Guide’ HERE) | Christian Louboutin White Heels (better for budget here)
Distressed Jeans & Blazer
Working remotely gives you the freedom of wearing whatever you’d like on the bottom. Trousers typically feel too formal for my at-home style, so I stick to casual, comfortable pieces like denim. My favorite combination is a distressed pair of jeans that can be dressed up with a smart blazer and lace cami.
Bodysuit (wearing an XS) | Leopard Skirt (wearing an XXS) | Saint Laurent Bag | Celine Sunglasses (similar here, budget version here) | Chanel Earrings
Basic Tank Top & Midi Skirt
Comfort is a huge factor for me when I’m spending a long day working so I’ll usually mix simple garments with dressier ones – like a basic tee or tank with a midi skirt. I’m in love with ribbed tank tops right now because they’re so versatile and your outfit combinations with them are pretty much endless. I can never get bored!
Nordstrom Off The Shoulder Sweater | Revolve Superdown Faux Leather Skirt | Christian Louboutin So Kate Pumps (better for budget here)
Oversized Sweater & Pencil Skirt
A cozy knit sweater is my favorite thing to wear when I want to be comfortable. It looks amazing tucked into a slim fitting skirt. This outfit combo is surprisingly relaxed enough to be worn at home all day too – heels are optional!
Abercrombie Striped Shirt (wearing an XS) | Levi’s White Jeans (wearing a 24 – run TTS) | Nordstrom Silver Necklace | Christian Louboutin Heels (better for budget here) | Saint Laurent College Bag | Amazon Fiddle Leaf Fig Trees (under $100!) | Home Depot Trestle Table | Amazon Peace Sign Sculpture
Button Down Top & White Pants
I honestly believe that you can be casual and feel good about your outfit at the same time. Right now, crisp white jeans with a button down top checks off both boxes for me. It’s a combination that feels most appropriate for spring too.
Abercrombie Black Shirt Dress (exact style sold out, similar here) | Gucci Belt (wearing a size 70 – read my ‘Gucci Belt Sizing Guide’ HERE) | Tamara Mellon Heels (run TTS) | Chanel Bag (medium size) | Givenchy Sunglasses | NARS Lipgloss (in shade ‘Pulsion’)
Shirt Dress
If you’re looking for an effortless outfit that doesn’t require mixing and matching, a shirt dress is the way to go. It’s polished and easy to put on but feels good enough to wear for hours at a time.
Sweatshirt (wearing an XS) | Sweatpants (wearing an XXS) | Denim Jacket (wearing an S) | Yankees Cap | Nike Sneakers | LV Backpack
Sweatpants & Blouse or Bodysuit
It’s totally normal to stay in your sweatpants every once in a while too. Just make sure you have something a little more structured on from the waist-up. I’ve been wearing my sweats with structured bodysuits or statement blouses
