I’m Petite & I Only Wear These Denim Brands

Being petite comes with a lot of challenges – one of the biggest ones being finding clothes that fit. Denim has always been one of the trickiest garments for me to shop because the waist can often be too big and hemlines way too long. While I’m a big fan of getting my clothes tailored for the best result, I’d rather avoid the hassle and find something with a flawless fit from the start. It’s safe to say that I’ve gone through many trials searching for the best denim brands that fit my smaller frame (for reference, I’m 5’2). After years of shopping, I know which brands I can rely on and which ones to avoid when it comes to denim. If you’re petite and have yet to find your favorite pair of jeans, I’m sharing the styles I swear by and know that you’ll love too!
Levi’s Denim (wearing a 24)
Levi’s
Levi’s is a cult classic with a strong reputation for their denim. I love the rugged look of Levi’s and appreciate the stiffer feel. Their jeans typically have very little stretch, which help them maintain that classic Americana vibe. For that reason, they also look great folded at the hem if they’re too long. I find that Levi’s cropped jeans, which have a 26″ inseam, are best for petite frames. I’m also a huge fan of Levi’s denim shorts, which you can read more on here.

Abercrombie White Jeans (wearing a 24S)
Abercrombie
I’ve worn Abercrombie jeans since my high school days and they’ve been a staple in my wardrobe since. The nice thing about Abercrombie jeans is that they’re super affordable – and come in three special lengths (short, regular, and long). I always buy the “short” length, which is made specifically for anyone 5’3 and under.

GRLFRND Denim (wearing a 24, similar here)
GRLFRND
I’m a creature of habit so when I find the perfect pair of jeans, I’ll wear it non-stop. For several years now, GRLFRND jeans have been my favorite. I swear by the Karolina and other cropped styles, which are so soft and comfortable despite not having a whole of of stretch! They might be expensive but they’re so worth it considering the fact that they last forever.

Distressed Jeans
The best denim investment you'll ever make. The distressed details and vintage wash are the best of its kind!

Lovers & Friends Denim (wearing a 23)
Lovers + Friends
Lovers + Friends denim is another great option for petites, especially their cropped jeans. The 26″ inseams are perfect for me because I can wear them cuffed or loose depending on my outfit. I also love that you can find a really high-quality pair of jeans for under $200. Most premium brands are way over the $200 price point, which can be over the top.

Ripped Jeans
These jeans will make a classic addition to your denim collection with the medium wash and shredded knees.
