5 Pieces To Transition Your Wardrobe From Spring to Summer

With that in mind, this is the perfect time to start thinking about how you’re going to segue out of your spring wardrobe. Summer happens to be one of my favorite seasons to get dressed because less layering is required – and it’s way more affordable. There are so many great finds under $100 at Walmart that it typically doesn’t make sense to over spend. Today, I wanted to round up 5 essential pieces you need to transition your wardrobe from spring to summer.

Utility Denim

One of the major spring trends that can remain in your wardrobe throughout summer is the utility trend. I’ve been gearing away from the typical cargo look and gravitating towards updated styles in denim. I love this lightweight denim jumpsuit from Walmart because it’s super comfy for long days at home, but also looks put-together once I’m able to get out more. Walmart is full of utility-inspired denim pieces from dresses to overalls.

Cropped Denim

As temperatures start to rise, I’ll be trading usual denim picks for cropped jeans too. It’s a smart way to bare a little bit of skin without the full commitment of denim cutoffs. Since I’m more petite, cropped jeans have an elongating effect especially when paired with heels or minimalist sandals. These Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara jeans are a personal favorite – the distressing offers an easy, casual feel, which look amazing with statement tops like this one.

Sundress

In a festive, playful season like summer, you can never have too many sundresses in your wardrobe. I love the effortless vibe of a lightweight maxi dress – but can never get enough of bold floral prints too. Luckily, you can snag some feminine, flirty styles without breaking the bank from Walmart. I rounded up some cute options below!

Sandals

With the current unpredictable weather, you’ve probably been living in sneakers. I recommend adding summer shoes to your collection now like strappy sandals and espadrilles. They will go perfectly with all the other items in this post! I was so surprised to find this super chic style at Walmart for under $30 – it looks and feels more expensive in real life!

Woven Handbag

If there’s one piece that will add an instant summer vibe to your outfit, it’s definitely a woven handbag. Basket bags will always be a summer staple, but crochet, knotted styles are becoming a big hit too. I love their versatility and how they can easily carry you from errands to drinks, especially when paired with a sundress and sandals.
