I’m obsessed with casual pieces that not only look chic, but are comfortable too. As we transition to summer, I’ve been on the hunt for lightweight fabrics and fresh denim styles that I can wear now and throughout the season. I tend to spend more time outdoors, so I prefer to stick to budget-friendly styles when it comes to casual basics. They’re so easy to pair with the investment pieces that I already own – and give me the look of a new wardrobe without the high cost. I usually rely on Walmart for affordable casual pieces. I find that they’re just as stylish and comfy as higher end styles whether you’re looking for an easy dress, edgy t-shirt, or vintage denim. With summer just around the corner, I wanted to share the exact pieces I’ll be living in.

Denim One-Pieces

My style is pretty low-key and casual in the summer and I live in basics like denim everyday. I love finding new styles that will last beyond one season. One of the denim brands I grew up loving in 90’s was Jordache. I was thrilled to rediscover this brand at Walmart. The new Jordache Vintage collection, is exclusive to Walmart and features a full denim collection for under $40.

These denim coveralls are my latest favorite denim find and they’re all I want to wear lately. I never thought I could pull off denim coveralls since I’m so petite, but rolling up the hem and opting for strappy sandals help elongate my frame. They’re super comfortable and are the perfect weight for summer. You can wear it buttoned all the way up, but I styled mine with a logo tube top also from the Jordache Vintage collection. I love how it makes the look feel more effortless.

Denim Jacket

I’m never without a denim jacket in the warmer months. I love an oversized cut because they’re more versatile and are perfect for offsetting skinny jeans and fitted dresses. This Jordache Vintage jacket comes in four different showstopping washes that can be styled in endless ways.

Vintage Logo Tees & Tanks

My go-to uniform for a casual, edgy look on the weekends is a pair of jeans and vintage tee. I especially love logo tees and sweatshirts because they always make a basic outfit feel more interesting. Since I’ve been living in more casual looks anyway, this graphic sweatshirt was the perfect addition to my wardrobe. It’s so easy to pair with denim, leggings, and sweatpants. You can even throw it over a dress for a chic, off-duty outfit.
