I’m all about floral dresses in the summer, but if you know you’ll be doing something later in the evening, go for something with interesting details like a corset-inspired bodice, eyelet fabric, or lace. It will stand out for a date night or drinks but won’t feel overwhelming during the day with flat sandals.

There’s something about a sleek jumpsuit that feels sophisticated and chic. You can wear it as it comes for the daytime, but add a bold belt and ankle-strap heels for the evening. One of the ways I typically dress up the most basic pieces in my wardrobe, like jeans and a tank top, is by layering on a blazer and slipping into my favorite heels.
